The original elevating scraper was the Aggie Series introduced by Hancock Equipment Co. in 1953 The first models of the Aggie Series were the 5 yard RA model, the 8 yard SA model and the 10 yard LA model.
These were characterized by the moving moldboard and the wagon type steering that used a tie rod between the wheels to keep the front wheels turning together.

Some 475 of the RA, SA, and LA model scrapers were built between 1952-1955.
In 1955, the Aggie Series was upgraded to the "N" Series.
5N model - 5 yard ,
8N model - 8 yard,
11N model - 11 yard .
The major improvements included the swiveling front dolly and the fixed moldboard. Over the next 3 years, some 650 of the N series scrapers were produced.
